Some of my most popular videos on YouTube are taken in fabulous flea markets around the world. Below is one taken in the huge Russian Market, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Three trips to Phnom Penh behind us, we had never visited the Russian Market because it requires a tuk-tuk; not walkable from Sisowath Quay in the tourist area of Phnom Penh. Called the “Russian Market” because most of the foreigner’s in Cambodia during the ’80s were Russians, it is of less architectural interest than the Central Market but has a larger selection of souvenirs, curios and silk. There are several jewelers and gold-sellers, a large selection of souvenirs, food and sellers. Like all markets in this series, bargain hard. I immediately ended up with a lightweight hat for $1.50.
